Spinal Cord Injury Ontario (SCIO) was looking to strengthen its profile and expand its reach. I set out to modernize the brand, refine the logo and introduce new design elements, but felt the existing tagline didn’t match the charity’s refreshed energy and its profound work.

I thought long and hard about how the charity supports people who have sustained an injury, and how important that lived experience is in helping others regain confidence and health.

In a few words, I wanted to capture the core of the organization, reflecting the power and strength of its peer support program and its resilient community. So I created a new tagline that declares it:

Peer to peer. Strength to strength.
